On September 23, 2023, Brother Roy went home to be with Jesus. Roy Glen Wells was born on October 15, 1943, in Logan County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late George Wister Wells and Mattie Bell Wells. Lillian F. Wells who proceeded him in death on January 30, 2023.

Roy accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Townsend Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of the choir. He loved to sing and continued to do so until his health began to fail. He was a member of the Russellville-Logan County NAACP. He was a former employee of Emerson Electric and retired after 39 years of service.

He was also proceeded in death by his daughter Regina "Carol" Taylor, sister May Bell Wells Lewis, three brothers, James Wells, George Robert Wells, and Joseph Wells. He leaves behind to cherish his memories a brother, Wesley Dean Wells, Russellville, KY; two daughters, Deborah Taylor Spaulding (Frankie) and Glenda Ogueji, Russellville, KY; one uncle, Roy C. Wells (Karen), Indianapolis, IN, a step-son, Gregory T. Grady (Sonya), Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren, LaEboni Taylor, Merle "DJ" Watkins, Korey Watkins, and Taylor Daniels, five great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
